The Nobel Monument in New York City

Sculptor Sivert Lindblom

After considering the works and backgrounds of several Swedish artists, the Consulate General of Sweden approached Swedish sculptor Sivert Lindblom, the leading designer of urban spaces in the City of Stockholm and the artist behind the Holocaust Monument in Stockholm.

After visiting the site in New York, Mr. Lindblom presented his vision of a monument dedicated to Nobel and the American laureates that would reflect the honor and dignity of the award.
